The
Kiwanis Club of Rehoboth Beach officially
received our charter August 17, 1928. In
1930, the Club began sponsoring Boy Scout Troop
85 and in 1956 opened the Kent Street "Scout
House." In 1980, the club worked
with local leaders to create the Rehoboth YMCA.
The Cape Henlopen HS Key club was started in
1986, the Indian River HS Key Club in 2007 and
the JM Bennett HS Key Club in 2009. The
Rehoboth Kiwanis Foundation was approved May16,
1985 as a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation for tax
deductible donations. The Club's average
yearly project expenditures are more than
$30,000. Today, the Club members
continue its tradition in support of many local
projects:
